Harbourlight runs the town food bank, a warm community kitchen, a busy youth drop-in, and friendly visits for seniors. If you need a hand — or want to lend one — our door on Pier Street is open.
What we do
Five core programs, one promise: no one in Harbourton faces a hard season alone.
Weekly grocery hampers with fresh produce, dairy, and pantry staples for households across Harbourton and the surrounding townships. No referral needed — just come in.
A hot, homemade supper every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Pier Street hall. Everyone eats together — volunteers, families, seniors, and anyone who wants company.
A safe after-school space for grades 6–12 with snacks, homework help, games, and mentors who show up every week. Free, no sign-up, no pressure.
Friendly visits, grocery and prescription delivery, and rides to appointments for older neighbours living on their own. A weekly check-in call is often the highlight — ours included.
Every December, volunteers pack and deliver full holiday hampers — a turkey or ham, fixings, and gifts for the kids — to more than 200 local households.

Food drives, orientations, and community dinners — every event keeps a program running. Everyone is welcome.
Ask About an EventOur biggest fundraiser of the year — 18 holes, dinner, and a silent auction. Foursomes and hole sponsorships available; every dollar stocks the winter food bank.
Our annual town-wide drive fills the shelves for winter. Grab a shopping list at the door, or drop a bag at the fire hall — volunteer drivers collect from rural routes too.
New to volunteering? Come meet the coordinators, tour the food bank, and find a role that fits your schedule — from hamper packing to Thursday delivery driving.
A pay-what-you-can turkey dinner for the whole town, cooked by our kitchen volunteers with produce donated by local farms. Live music from the Harbourton Fiddle Club.
